Pasta with gruyere cheese
Comment: In a hurry and a piece of good gruyere cheese in the fridge, possibly some (good) ham too and of course some elbow macaronis (other short pasta will do too). Easy and quickly ready, here are "cornettes au gruyère".
This is sort of the Swiss version of Anglo-Saxon Mac & Cheese.
As an option in the pasta, a few grilled "lardons".
400 g pasta
20+ g butter in small cubes
200+ g good salty grated gruyere
Ham slices (opt)
Cook the pasta according to the time indicated on the package.
When the pasta is cooked, place it in a serving dish (possibly preheated) alternating a layer of pasta, a few knobs of butter and a good sprinkle of grated cheese, 3 or 4 layers.
Mix and serve immediately with a few slices of good ham.
