Pasta with gruyere cheese
Comment: In a hurry and just a bit of good gruyere cheese in the fridge, possibly some (good) ham too and of course some elbow macaronis (other short pasta will do too). Easy and quickly ready, here are "cornettes au gruyère".
This is sort of the Swiss version of Anglo-Saxon Mac & Cheese.
400 g pasta
20 g butter
200- g good salty grated gruyere
Ham slices (opt)
As always for pasta, use the rule of 1, 10, 100, or for every 100 g of pasta, add 10 g of salt in 1 liter of water. So here, 4 l of water. 40 g of salt and 400 grams of pasta.
When the pasta is cooked, place them in a serving dish (possibly preheated) alternating a layer of pasta, a few knobs of butter and a goodsprinkle of grated cheese, 3 or 4 layers.
Serve immediately with a few slices of good ham.
